Surcharges and discounts by time of day

Rate adjustments let one pricing scheme charge different prices at different times. Add a surcharge for evenings and weekends, or a discount for off-peak hours. Every booking is priced slot by slot, and residents see each slot's price before they book.

How it works

  1. Open Rate Adjustments

Go to Bookings › Booking Setup and open the Rate Adjustments tab. Click Create.

  2. When it applies

Give it a Title, tick the Days it applies to, then either tick All day or set a From and To time.

  3. Surcharge or discount

Under Adjustment, choose Surcharge or Discount and enter a percentage. A discount can go up to 100%.

  4. Add it to a pricing scheme

Open the Pricing Schemes tab, edit an Hourly or Daily paid scheme and pick your adjustments in Rate Adjustments. Hourly schemes take adjustments with a time range. Daily schemes take All day ones.

  5. How prices add up

Each slot gets the scheme's price plus any adjustments that cover it. A slot that only partly overlaps an adjustment gets a matching share of it, and overlapping adjustments add up. A price never drops below zero.

  6. What residents see

In the app, each time slot shows its price, in money or credits. Slots with a surcharge or discount show a lightning bolt with the change. For spaces booked by the day, days with an All day adjustment carry the same lightning-bolt badge in the calendar, explained as Adjustment in the legend.

  7. The total

The price on the confirmation screen adds up the slots chosen, adjustments included. On the web app, the Pricing Summary shows how many slots are charged at each price.

  8. Money and credits

Adjustments apply to schemes priced in currency and in credits. The booking's invoice lists one line for each slot price.

One scheme, fair prices all week

Keep a single pricing scheme per space and let rate adjustments handle peak and off-peak times. Residents know the price of every slot before they confirm.

  • Linked adjustments are protected. You can't delete an adjustment while a pricing scheme uses it. Remove it from the scheme first.
